4. Inclement Conditions:

In the case of certain weather conditions, the fields at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park may not be used. The fields will immediately close if standing water is visible on the fields, there is frost or snow on the fields, or if the ground is severely saturated from heavy rain. Severe weather such as thunderstorms and tornadoes, may cause the complex to shut down as well.

LIGHTNING AND EVACUATION POLICY

At Dick's Sporting Goods Park we monitor the weather 24 hours a day and use the following policy: Fields will be evacuated if lightning is detected within 6 miles of the Park. In the event that fields need to be evacuated, staff will sound short blasts of an air horn. At this point we need to have everyone clear the fields as quickly as possible.

The safest location for people to go is in a hard-topped car with the windows up. In the absence of a vehicle, Park Staff will direct people to a safe location. The fields will remain closed until the lightning has cleared the 6 mile radius. Field Staff will indicate the All-Clear with a long continuous blast of an air horn. KSE will ultimately make the decision to continue, postpone or cancel the day's events.

Rescheduled games are contingent on the availability of fields and the priority of the given event. In any such event, games and tournaments hold priority over practices when rescheduled.

If any of the aforementioned steps regarding inclement weather are ignored, clients will forfeit all privileges at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and their permit could potentially be revoked.

5. Weather Hotline:

Please first direct any questions regarding weather and field conditions to the facility weather hotline at (303) 727-3333. Staff will update the hotline in a timely matter if/when changes are made regarding reservations taking place at the fields on any given day.

6. Equipment:

Teams and players are responsible for their own equipment and supplies. No metal cleats permitted on the fields. Equipment that is rented from KSE must be returned in the same condition that it was loaned and must be turned in within one hour of the final event for given client. This equipment must be signed out and signed back in by the employee responsible for the rental.

7. Repairs:

Any safety hazards found on the fields, such as holes, broken equipment, etc. should be immediately reported to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park staff to ensure safe play. If a team causes any of the needed repairs, that team may be held responsible for the fees incurred to repair any damage.

8. Field Procedure:

Teams must conduct practices and pre-game warm-ups outside of the 18-yard box. This will ensure that the goal mouth will not sustain more wear and tear than necessary. Also, only players, coaches, and referees are allowed within the playing lines of the field. Any family members and other spectators must stay off of the field at all times. This includes cutting across, warming up, or playing on closed fields. The hills around each field are designed for spectators to enjoy the game and for participants of the game to have a designated space in which to play.

9. Clean up:

Premier Facility Services are responsible for all trash removal. Therefore, teams are expected to dispose of necessary items into the designated waste stations. Excessive trash or required clean up by KSE may result in a fine to the responsible client. If a client chooses to bring own tents/canopies, chairs, etc, these items must be cleared from the field prior to the next event, and these items cannot leave any sort of damage on the fields.

10. Limited Liability:

Team waivers must be signed prior to participation on Dick’s Sporting Goods Park fields to release KSE from any accountability for situations that KSE is not responsible for.

11. Parking:

Visitors can park in any designated parking lot within Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Parking spaces are indicated by white lines. If there are no white lines, there is no parking. There is no parking on the grass or on the shoulders of the road. Emergency crews must have access to the fields via the shoulders at all times.
