Dick's Sporting Goods Park to Host Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Showdown on April 3
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - Two of the nation’s top club lacrosse teams face-off during the seventh year of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Showdown, continuing the tradition this year at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
The reputation as Colorado’s best lacrosse team is on the line as the Colorado State Rams face off against the Colorado Buffaloes.
The game will take place April 3, starting at 8:00 p.m., earlier in the season than it traditionally has been, as the stadium host this intra-state clash for the first time.
Earlier in the day, Dick’s Sporting Goods will play host to the Colorado Rapids 2010 regular season home opener, as the Rapids host the Chicago Fire at 2 p.m.
The Colorado State have won this competition the first five years, but last year, for the first time, the Buffaloes finally broke though for their first win in the series.
Last season the Buffaloes had a regular season standing of 12-5, and they defeated the Rams 4-11. And this year they opened their season with an explosion against UNC, winning 13-2.
Admission for the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Showdown will be $10 for adults and $7 for youth under 12 years old.
